Was wondering why I only got 13 MPG on my last tank, this is probably why.

I think you should black out part of the 8, take some pictures, and post them in response to those clowns.
“ see that’s a V6 bro!"

Real question: If a V8 has less than 5L in displacement, is it actually a V8?

If it makes 400 HP yes

Or fit the E60 cover, “Its a V10 bro!
”

I think it’s more of a
v
8.

13! Is that a heavy-footed number?
![]() 03/02/2019 at 11:48 |

13?!
I’ m averaging about 17 in Atlanta traffic (downtown to east Cobb). And that’s in the ‘18 F150 with the 5.0
Do you drive with a heavy foot?

The Mini is averaging 20mpg these days. Turns out turning up your boost also makes you drive harder.

My 128i has only been managing like 17 mpg on my commute. I think I need to move further away so I get better gas mileage. lol

I did 25 mpg on my last tank in my M3. I don’t know why your M3 sucks so much gas. My car even came with the ultra rare front wheel drive and transversely mounted 2.0L DOHC VVT 4 cylinder engine, very superior reliability and efficiency over the standard 3.4L I6 or 4L V8.

Where did you buy your F-150? The Hardy boys love ya and need ya.

There are a lot of great V8s between 4 and 5 liters. I’d start at 4 - and still get yelled at by Ferrari fans.

Hur dur a real buh-oit is 6l

When I was living with my parents in Roswell, I was getting right around 15 MPG. That’s been my usual tank average, or at least I think it is. I don’t have a spread sheet like I do for my 328i. I’m also only driving it on the weekends with almost a disdain for fuel economy.

Yes, small capacity engines are good.

Maybe, I usually get around 15. This last tank has also been pretty much exclusively city driving.

My 3 has been getting right around 20 recently. My 128i was getting right around 22 when I wasn’t doing only long interstate drives. Interestingly, my 1 got better highway mileage than my 3.

Hmmm, one fake hook vent. I mean it’s cool the one is ducted. Could have at least opened the other as a heat extractor.
Though this is coming from the same company that does the exhaust sounds through the speakers.

I know what you mean. My M5, with the big 2.5l engine, only gets about 19-20 MPG, a little bit better than the 2.5l engine in my E34 525i. I can imagine that mileage would be worse in both of them if they had automatic transmissions since there’d be one less gear in each as compared to the manual transmissions each has.

Since one is functional, it doesn’t bother me. I’d rather have it blanked than to have water pour directly onto the electrics that are there.

I mean, it's small for a v8, it's big compared to most engines.

HAHAHA YOUR V8 GETS 13MPG.

Normally gets right around 15 MPG, but apparently I have been driving around with a disdain for fuel economy. This is one of the worst tanks I’ve had in my ownership.
![]() 03/02/2019 at 14:02 |

I get... 9MPG.
Not 19. NINE.
Mostly city. I do improve to a whole fourteen highway.

Damn, that’s worse than 16 year old me who got 10 in a 97 Explorer. I might have floored it all the time.

I mean, I do really like my 3.4 L V8 ;)

Smol V8's are the best
![]() 03/02/2019 at 15:21 |

Last time I filled up the v8 car, I got like 11
I’ve gotten 22 before though. It does really well on the highway. Small displacement, slippery body work, and the light weight prob help even though it's over 3k at cruising speed.
![]() 03/02/2019 at 15:28 |

Mine is over 3500 cruising at 84.

ALL V8s are the best. I love m y 4.7 liter V8 too!

I think mine is closer to 4 at that speed. I normally cruise pretty slowly in the mid 70's. It's honestly been so long since I've driven the car I can't recall

Au tonation . They had the right one with the right colors and options. We bought it about 6 months ago. The deals on the 2018's now are crazy, but we were able to get 72 months at 0% back then

Nice! Marietta I’m assuming. Everyone around me gets Fords from Hardy, Wade, and Jim Tidwell.

Yeah, Marietta. Hardy and Wade were also looking for the truck we wanted, but none of them were finding it. Saw one at an autonation and they delivered it to marietta for free.
